The Science of Long-Term Protection
COPPERCOAT is a specialised water-based epoxy resin infused with 2 kg of pure copper powder per litre . This exceptionally high copper concentration provides robust protection against fouling, while the epoxy matrix ensures the coating remains intact for a minimum of 10 to 15 years.
Its environmentally responsible performance derives from the suspension of copper within a stable epoxy resin, which eliminates the ablative erosion process. This non-leaching barrier ensures the copper remains fixed to the hull rather than washing into the marine ecosystem, making it a significantly more eco-friendly alternative to conventional biocidal paints. This performance is verified bythe official PM Scrub Test for COPPERCOAT®.
